Music moves the mind

Speaking of my iPod, I'm gearing up for my "pre-fight" psych-up with tuneage. A sampling:

  • I believe in Miracles (thanks to Shuffle itself for the suggestion)
  • Mama said Knock you out - Ladies Love Cool James (I'M GONNA KNOCK YOU OUT)
  • Gotta have Faith - George Michael
  • Today - Smashing Pumpkins

What do you rock when you need to get yourself pumped?

I may also listen to "Fool's Gold" - the Rabbit in the Moon version (something like that) - 6 minutes of remix that I listened to every.day walking to BarBri from the Metro.

Lately I've been listening to just fun songs that make me feel liberated, like:

-Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
-Ain't No Mountain High Enough
-Livin' on a Prayer (but of course)

And songs I can sing to, like:

-Can't Take My Eyes Off of You (Lauryn Hill version)
-Fighter (Xtina!)
-Random Mariah Carey

*sigh*

I'm more of a hard rock girl. When I need to get pumped up I listen to Rage Against the Machine. Nothing says "fuck the bar" like Killing in the Name. Although, Calm Like A Bomb seems more appropriate, title-wise.

However, I'm feelin' ya on the George Michael. There's a secret place in my heart for him.

I also like "Rock DJ" by Robbie Williams. I think I'll dance to that right now.

"I don't wanna rock Truuuuuuuuuusts, 'cause you're makin' me feel so dumb."

I don't know how to do a trackback thing here, but here is my response:
